Access the ClearinghouseThe Institute for Economic Empowerment is in the process of creating a Quality Work Environment (QWE) Clearinghouse, which is available on this website.
The QWE Clearinghouse provides a way to share information on:
- Quality Work Environments (QWE) for successful employment and increased productivity for people with severe disabilities.
- Assistive Technology (AT) In use by NISH-affiliated nonprofit agencies and community rehabilitation programs,resulting from NISH rehabilitation engineering projects, or designed by winners of the assistive technology (AT) design competitions
- Rehabilitation Engineering
- Successful and innovative management practices, and
- Solutions that work for specific lines of business
In addition, the clearinghouse includes a directory of NISH-affiliated nonprofit agencies participating in the AbilityOne program, and a Solutions Forum, which allows nonprofit agencies to post questions they may be seeking solutions about, and provide answers.
This information can be accessed by type of impairment the technology is designed to accommodate, type of job or line of business, mangement practice, awards made through the AT Design Competitions, innovations made by the NISH rehabilitation engineers, related items, or a text search.
