The Institute for Economic Empowerment currently sponsors two working groups: The Employment Data Workgroup and the Solutions Special Interest Group (SIG). The Employment Data Workgroup provides input to data and automation requirements for improved and automated data collection at the individual worker level, that meets the needs of both nonprofit agencies and the Institute for Economic Empowerment. Information on Employment Data Workgroup meetings may be found by clicking the link below and under the Events menu link; a list of current Data Workgroup documents is also maintained.. The Solutions SIG shares solutions for nonprofit agencies in areas that promote successful employment, increased productivity, and a quality work environment for people with severe disabilities, such as assistive technology and rehabilitation engineering, business practices, use of technology, including information technology, and job design for specific lines of business. The Charter for the Solutions SIG describes its purpose. In particular, the Solutions SIG supports the Quality Work Environment (QWE) Clearinghouse on this website, which includes both assistive technology and other solutions that promote successful employment and increased productivity for people with severe disabilities. It is necessary to register on this website to access Solutions SIG or Employment Data Workgroup working papers. Additional menu items are available to workgroup members on the Member Menu. |
